Ingredients

Glass jar of layered tiramisu overnight oats dusted with cocoa next to a cup of coffee

  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder

  4. Sprinkle over half of the cocoa powder.
  5. Add the rest of the yogurt on top and dust with the remaining cocoa.

Tips & Substitutions

Spoonful of tiramisu overnight oats with cocoa and yogurt above the jar

Cool the coffee first. Warm coffee thins the yogurt and softens the oats too fast.

Decaf works. Use decaf if you plan to eat this jar in the evening.

Ladyfinger crumble. Crush half of one ladyfinger on top for about 20 calories.

Cocoa last. Dust the final layer right before eating so it stays dark.

How to Make It More Filling

For a creamier top layer, add 1 more tablespoon of Greek yogurt (about 10 calories) or 1 teaspoon of mascarpone (about 20 calories) for the real tiramisu feel.

Storage

Keeps in the fridge for up to 3 days. The layers blend a little more each day. Add the cocoa dusting just before eating, and do not freeze.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it taste like coffee?

Gently. ¼ cup of coffee gives a mild tiramisu taste, not a strong espresso hit.

Can I use instant coffee?

Yes. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of instant coffee in ¼ cup of hot water and let it cool first.

Is there alcohol in it?

No. Classic tiramisu uses rum or Marsala, and this version leaves it out. A drop of rum extract adds the flavor.

Can I skip the layers?

Yes. Stir everything together if you are in a hurry.
