Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Frozen berries need no washing or chopping
  • They thaw into a sweet fruit sauce, so no jam is needed
  • About 7 grams of fiber per jar, mostly from the berries and oats
  • 12 grams of protein from the Greek yogurt

Ingredients

Glass jar of triple berry overnight oats topped with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries on a wooden table
  • ½ cup (40 g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • ¼ cup (60 g) nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup (75 g) frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated stevia or monk fruit sweetener
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

How to Make It

  1. Add the oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, sweetener, and salt to a jar with a tight lid.
  2. Stir until the sweetener dissolves and the oats are fully wet.
  3. Add the frozen berries on top without stirring them in.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats so the thawed berries spread through the jar.
  6. Eat cold straight from the jar, or warm it in the microwave for 1 minute if you like it hot.

Tips & Substitutions

Spoonful of triple berry overnight oats with berry sauce above the jar

Keep the berries on top. They thaw slowly and release juice into the oats as they sit.

Mash half the berries. Press them with a fork before adding for a jammy layer.

Taste before sweetening. If your berries are sweet, you may not need the stevia.

Fresh berries? Use ½ cup mixed fresh berries and crush a few so they release juice.

How to Make It More Filling

For a thicker, pudding style jar, stir in 1 tablespoon of chia seeds (about 60 calories). A tablespoon of chopped almonds on top adds about 50 calories and crunch.

Storage

Keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days. Stir the thawed berries in before eating. Do not freeze the finished jar.
