Common questions
What is a Joy Jar?
A jar of small things you enjoy. This one is online: you pick your time and place, pull a card and do what it says. Each card takes 5, 15 or 30+ minutes.
Do I need anything to do the cards?
No special gear. Some use your phone or a free website, and the ones marked outside only need a short walk.
Why is there no food on the cards?
Joy does not have to come with a snack. These are small good moments with nothing to do with eating, so you can grab one on a day when you just want something nice.
Do the cards repeat?
Not until you have seen every card for your time and place. Then the jar shuffles and starts again.
Is this a treatment for low mood?
No. It is a nudge toward small good moments. If you feel low for a long time, please talk to a doctor.
