This page explains what information Bye Weight (byeweight.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
- Calculators and Joy Jar. What you type in (weight, height, steps, wake up time and so on) is used in your browser to show your result. We do not send it to our servers or store it.
- Contact form. If you write to us, we get your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to see which pages are read, which buttons are clicked, and roughly what device and country visitors use. This data is anonymous and uses cookies.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them so Google Analytics can count visits, and only after you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you press No thanks, no analytics cookies are used. You can change your mind any time with the Cookie jar link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works without them.
Skool and other links
Our community lives on Skool (skool.com), which is a separate service with its own privacy policy. When you click a link to it, we add a small tag to the address so we can tell which page sent you. Your account, payment and membership details are handled by Skool, not by us. The same goes for any other site we link to.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the services that run the site, such as our hosting provider and Google Analytics, and only as needed for them to do their job.
How long we keep it
Messages from the contact form are kept for as long as it takes to answer you and a reasonable time after that. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics settings.
Your choices
You can ask us what we know about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just send a message through the contact form. If you live in the EU, the UK or California, you have additional rights under local law, and we will respect them.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
